It helps with the occasional spot but thats it. It worked for me and I use the other Effaclar products as well. But I don't have acne, just ocasional spots that got worse with the use of masks. They launched a new serum from this line that is targeted for acne I think, so maybe it's an option

Basically the title says it all. Can I use this cream (La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+) as a base for my makeup? I use it in the morning and evening because I started getting a lot of pimples lately, but sometimes when I go out I want to put it under my makeup. Does it make my makeup look bad? Is it still effective?
Maybe switch to a gentle cleanser by La Roche posay like a milk, crème, or sensitive skin cleanser. + a crème or the fluid moisturizer from LRP not an acne kind, it might dry you out more. I can feel your frustration and eagerness wanting to get clear skin but you really need patience and understanding.

I know you're only looking for La Roche-Posay recommendations but I find Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer SPF 70 Liquid (the tiny bottle - not the 3 oz one) and their Clear Face sunscreens to be just as good if not better due to Helioplex and a fraction the cost.

Effaclar duo+ If I gave one HG La Roche Posay product it's this. I pretty much always have a tube around even if I'm not actively using it because it's the one product I can always come back to.
